2 weeks old

Happy Friday!!  Kate is 2 weeks old today and she has had a great day.  The echo results showed a very tiny hole in her PDA valve.  It is teeny, tiny and she is doing so well, they are not going to worry about it or do surgery.  A test was done on her heart to see if it was retaining fluid and it came back negative.  Her chest x-ray looked good today.   Her vital signs are great- she is almost down to room air 21% oxygen settings.  She is getting stronger with her breathing again!  We are hoping she can be moved back to the nasal ventilator tomorrow.  Her swelling is almost gone and she looks much better.  It was nice to get a positive phone call from the doctor today- and no new things to worry about:) Great to have a day going back up the roller coaster!
